T-Shirt orders....they are coming
We appologize to anyone that has ordered T-shirts recently and haven't recived them yet. We got swampped with taking care of the Born-Free show and thrashing on bikes. All orders will be shipped by the end of the week. T-shirt money is what paid for much of the Born-Free show. We do appriciate your business!

It was a bike show for those without A.D.D. that can be content checking out sweet machines and talking amongst friends and peers.

Summary
I slept as much as i could yesterday to try and recoupe from the hectic weekend with our show, the Comune show, the swapmeet, and a Thirsty Isle bacon blue cheese burger...still need a nap.
Anyway, a big thank you goes out to everysingle person that sponsored, rode in, attended, and helped us promote and put on the Born-Free show. There were over 200 bikes from as far away as Chicago, Minnesota, Washington, Oakland, San diego, Vegas, and all over southern california as well as people from just as far, if not farther attending the show.
We did our best to feed you good food, drinks, free stuff, and hope you all got a stomach FULL of the best propper choppers out there today. We did give away 13 awards ranging from the Most Far Out, to Best In Show, and we did this with the help of some of your friends, peers, and motorcycle industry icons as judges. As soon as we find the list of the winners and the judges that helped select them we'll let you know.
Thanks to Tony, ryan, Tim, and the Ali Bobber at Classic Cycles for all their hard work and helping hands. Thanks to the Nash, Joe, Jimmy White, and Ez for pitching in just because they wanted to. We couldn't have done it with out you guys. And this probably would't have happened without Mike Davis (the Born in Born-Free) who has been shoveling on the coal for the past 30 days since we all decided to join forces and put on the show. He and has been an unstopable force in seeing the show through to the end.
We'll keep bringing you pics and stories from the day as we catch up on some R&R.
*edit.
Some of our esteemed judges were:
Chica
Frank Keisler
Max Schaaf
Chris from MC Art
Josh Kurpius and Brian Harlow
T-Bone of NOISE
Jeremiah from Love Cycles
Dean Micetich from Dice
Takada from Deluxie in Japan
Alonzo Burego picked the Vincent Joaquin Burego Memorial Best in Show award

Born-Free the aftermath
Thanks to everyone and we mean everyone that made the show a huge success!
Here's a little treat from Scott Pommeir from the show. He set up a make shift photo studio in the shop and lined up some bikes to shoot. A full report is yet to come.

downed sister
tommorrow is the big show, and besides the big award honoring one of our best friends, we have a sister of the highway in need, please help if you can and grab some jam at the show too.
Laura Ann Masura is a founding member of the Glitter Kitties M.C. She isknown for her unique process of what she calls "two-wheel jamming" = Sheseeks out organic farms and orchards around California and plans acircuitous route there and back. She then hops on her motorcycle, snappingpics and sometimes video of her trips as she visits her choice destinations.
Once she is at a farm, she selects the best fruit she can and packs hersaddlebags with as much as they'll hold. When she gets home, she turns herhaul into jars of limited edition, "custom-built" Laura Ann's Jam.
On 9/9/09, while on her way to a strawberry farm in Irvine, Laura was hit bya car on PCH. She suffered multiple injuries including a devastatingnear-amputation of her left ankle. She remains hospitalized since theaccident and will require multiple surgeries to rebuild her foot (includinga cow-tendon transplant!). Laura Ann's out-of-pocket medical expenses are expected to exceed $25,000,so please consider picking up a jar of jam for a good cause!

Too close for comfort
I always wondered about these two shovels...So many similarities between Big Armon's (RIP)bike and this other one...maybe the little guy got it after Armon was killed? Dunno, but two Speedy SHifts, 19s in the back, real similar paint and stripping, different sissy bars, fenders, and springers, but...
