Of course the Mooneyes Yokohama show is a big deal. Has been for quite some time now and i don't know anyone that wouldn't dream of being able to take their own bike to the show and be a special guest, right? Well, you have your shot at Born-Free 4! Mooneyes is going to take the Best in Show winner from Born-Free 4 to Yokohama! That means ship your bike there and back, fly you over and put you up for the show! Not sure how that could be any better, now you just have to build a killer bike. Thanks Shige!

BORN
FREE 4 (USA) BEST IN SHOW
On June 30, 2012, the motorcycle event "Born Free 4" will take place
in Oak Canyon Ranch, California. We are excited to announce that the winning
motorcycle from Born Free 4 will be brought to Japan for the YOKOHAMA HOT ROD
CUSTOM SHOW 2012 (HCS2012)! The Born Free show has been the revival of high
quality show bikes and authentic choppers. Builders across the USA have
gravitated towards this event each year and it has been gaining in popularity
each year. This year, the Best in Show will be here at HCS2012 for your viewing
pleasure.

AIR-CQQLED IN ACTION - SPECIAL SECTION SPOTLIGHT
HCS2012 Car Show Special Section "Spotlight" (Previous years included
"Slammed Zone" trucks etc.). This year we present a special section
spotlight titled, "Air-CQQLED in Action" which will compile an area
inside the car show space featuring air-cooled Volkswagens. Welcoming all
styles in this spotlight area including slammed, old school, Cal-look, custom,
race cars and more. The theme is "in action" and we want to assemble
air-cooled VWs of all types!

EARLY DAYS CHOPPER EXTRAVAGANZA - SPECIAL SECTION
SPOTLIGHT
Each year the Special Section Spotlight for motorcycles has changed, including
SR, Multi and British Customs. This area for HSC2012 is titled, "Early
Days Chopper Extravaganza" which will be focused on '60s and early '70s
style choppers. With no set theme on machine type, it's wide open and promises
to compile a full range of wild motorcycles! So what exactly is '60s & '70s
style? It could be anything, it's doesn't have to be vintage, as long as it's
styled to the theme of '60s & '70s! American, Japanese Domestic, British or
European makes, it's possible! During this period, choppers were introduced in
Japan, so of course Japanese bikers, customs and early days of choppers are
also exceptional!
5.
CUSTOM PAINT HUB CAP CONTEST (Size Up to
15")
Previous custom paint contests included fuel tanks and helmets. HCS2012 will be
the third custom paint contest and the selected "canvas" is a hub cap

try, professional painters to amateurs. Size limit of the hub cap is limited

fun, first with the selection of a hub cap!

OTHER FEATURES AND SECTIONS
As with previous years, other features and sections include:
RAT ISLAND - Limited to Hot Rods & Kustoms built up to 1948.
The purpose of Rat Island is to bring together those vehicles that want to
participate in the show but don't want to be displayed as a show car. This
sectioned off area includes suede, traditional hot rods and kustoms with art,
pinstriping and music together in one area. Vehicles must be mobile (running)
and complete. The perimeter of Rat Island is fenced and within this area, entry
